Our Village Services (OVS)
Scope of Services (Non-Clinical Disclaimer)
Our Village Services (OVS) provides community-based programs, mental health consulting, education, wellness programming, facilitation, and professional development services. OVS does not provide psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnosis, crisis intervention, or medical treatment.
Although the Founder is a licensed mental health professional and professor, all services offered through OVS are delivered solely in the role of wellness guide, facilitator, consultant, or educator. Participation in OVS programs does not establish a therapist–client relationship.
Individuals seeking therapy or clinical mental health services are referred to 1st Step Mental Health Counseling PLLC or another licensed provider.

For international retreats or events hosted in partnership with third-party organizations (e.g., travel companies), OVS participates only as a facilitator or content provider.
OVS is not responsible for travel arrangements, purchases, accommodations, transportation, event logistics, cancellations, or itinerary changes. All travel-related responsibilities are governed by the hosting organization’s terms and policies.
Assumption of Risk
Participation in OVS programs, workshops, wellness activities, or travel experiences is voluntary. Participants acknowledge that such activities may involve inherent risks and agree to assume responsibility for their participation.
Limitation of Liability
OVS makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes or results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OVS is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from participation in programs, workshops, consultations, or events.
Intellectual Property
All materials, curricula, frameworks, and content provided through OVS are the intellectual property of Our Village Services and may not be reproduced, distributed, or reused without written permission.
Mandatory Reporting (When Applicable)
In certain settings, including work with youth or schools, OVS facilitators may be required to report concerns related to safety or harm as mandated by law.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Program fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing. Event-specific refund policies will be disclosed at registration. Private or contracted clients should refer to their individual service agreements.
Governing Law
These terms and all services provided by Our Village Services are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
